Královéhradecký kraj

The castle was built by the lords of Budětice at the beginning of the 12th century.
At the beginning of the 15th century it was twice conquered by the Hussites but soon it was rebuilt in a gothic style.
Later on, however, its owners changed often and its significance diminished.
It was destroyed during the thirty years´ war and became completely desolate.
