Královéhradecký kraj

Work began on the passages at the turn of the 15th century; originally serving as a convenient goods store, they later played an important role in the town's system of fortification. The passages, totalling over 27km in length, are cut into the rock, and in places comprise up to four vertical levels. A tour route of about 1km starts at the Chicken Market (Slepičí trh).
